The new Animal Interaction System allows you to do more than observe animals from a distance. You will now be able to help injured wildlife, free animals caught in traps, and take part in important tracking tasks across the park. To support these new duties, Update 2 introduces two new tools: the tranquilizer gun and the VHF receiver. The tranquilizer gun allows you to sedate injured or trapped animals from a safe distance, so you can examine, treat, or free them without putting yourself in danger. The VHF receiver helps you track animals fitted with GPS transmitters, making wildlife monitoring an even more hands-on part of your work as a ranger. 🦬 New animals in Faremont National Park Three new animal species are making their way into Faremont with Update 2. The mighty bison is joining the park as a true American icon, offering an impressive new sight for visitors and rangers alike. Feral hogs can now be found roaming the forests, adding even more life to Faremont’s wilder areas. And if you are lucky, you might spot the elusive bobcat somewhere across the hills and mountain slopes of the park. Keep your eyes open, rangers. Some encounters may be easier to find than others. 📻 New Callouts & Ranger Duties Content Update 2 also introduces a variety of new callouts and dynamic events, adding more variety to your daily ranger routine. 🪤 Securing Traps Reports of traps found in certain areas have reached ranger HQ. Your task is to locate and dismantle them before they become a danger to visitors or wildlife. 🐾 Trapped Animal Sometimes, the worst has already happened. An animal has been caught in a trap and needs your help immediately. Track it down, tranquilize it with your tranquilizer gun, and set it free. 🩹 Injured Animal Hikers have reported injured wild animals in the park. Find the animal, sedate it safely, and examine and treat its injuries. 📡 GPS Tracking of Animals Some animals in Faremont are part of wildlife studies and have been fitted with GPS transmitters. Sometimes, you will have to use your VHF receiver to locate the animal, sedate it, and remove the device to gather data. 🌿 More work for nature lovers Animal care is not the only new responsibility coming with Update 2. Faremont’s plant life also needs your attention. 🌱 Invasive Plant Removal Invasive plant species threaten the park’s ecosystem. With the new root puller, you can remove them whenever and wherever you find them. 🌼 Planting New Flora Some areas of the park are ready to be restored with new vegetation. Collect seedlings of flora native to Faremont and plant them in designated spots across the map. Don’t forget to check back every now and then to watch your new plants grow! 🏕️ New visitor-related callouts Of course, keeping Faremont clean, safe, and peaceful also means dealing with visitors who do not always follow the rules. 🗑️ Campsite Cleanup Some camper groups leave campsites in a rough state. Document the damage with your camera, deal with those responsible at your own discretion, and close the campsite until you have repaired the damage, cleaned up the trash, and restored the area. 🔊 Visitors Being Loud Some visitors bring a little too much noise into the wild. If loud music becomes a nuisance to other visitors or wildlife, it is your duty to find the source and restore some peace and quiet. 🚯 Visitors Littering Even with designated waste disposal points available throughout the park, some visitors still leave trash behind.
